If you’ve abandoned your attempts at having a journaling practice because you have felt intimidated, unsure, discouraged or unsupported, we’re going to shift that here.

A friend of mine describes herself as a “failed journaler.” Over many years she attempted to slog her way through unguided, open-ended and open-timed prompts. The Sneak Peeks approach was birthed after watching her struggling as she tried to find her way into journaling in different ways every couple of years but kept finding herself bumping up against the same obstacles, frustrated and abandoning journaling yet again. Either the prompts were bringing up a lot of the same old complaints or the lengthy time segments were making it so that it was becoming rambly and un-positive. She kept feeling she was circling back around and was on repeat, never getting anywhere new with her journal writing and was frustrated that her attempts weren’t meeting her hopes and the desire she had for experiencing journaling.

With the Sneak Peeks approach, we’re making journal writing instantly accessible for you. We’re taking out the mystery and uncertainty. You’ll push play, I’ll lead you through the prompt. You’ll get the benefits of writing to a surprising prompt combined with the ease of being guided through the process, allowing you to have a positive, transformative experience with your writing, without having to think your way through any of it or feel the intimidation of staring at a blank page OR seeing yourself writing all the same stuff you’ve written every time you’ve tried to journal.

We need to ask new questions in order to get to knew places in our writing. In this program, I’m going to be giving you super accessible writing prompts that will get you writing new thing, in such a small amount of time that you will be eager to return to it on a regular basis. We are taking the intimidation out of journal writing. And replacing it with a feeling of being led through a gentle, nourishing practice.

There will be ah-ha moments, there will be ease, there will be the peace of knowing that you are being led and don’t need to effort in any way other than showing up and following along.

When women hear that I create
guided writing opportunities, I often hear,
“Oh, I want to write but then I sit down and I don’t know where to start”
OR
“I’ve got bunches of journals and they all have about one sentence in them”
OR
“I feel like all I do when I journal is complain.”

This is for you if you:
ᐧ want to write but are intimidated by the blank page.
ᐧ are feeling called to a form of journaling but the idea of open-ended writing fills you with dread
ᐧ have been writing for a long time but find that you always seem to write the same thing and it’s not really getting you anywhere anymore.
ᐧ would like to start a morning practice and sit down with the best intentions, only to sit there not knowing what to do with yourself or how to begin

Our writing can be a powerful entrypoint to revelation and self knowledge and understanding. The tiny glimpses you’ll get here in these bite-sized journaling experiences will serve to get the ball rolling in some very surprising ways. When it’s easily accessible and you approach with wonder, journal writing can be so revealing and supportive. Learning about yourself, digging stuff up that you didn’t know was in there, that can actually be really fun, it’s nice to know more about yourself! Taking a sneak peek around the veil that is so often there between you and self understanding can be really surprising.

This is a powerful way to get unstuck and begin to move into new places with your new-found self realizations, and you will learn to honor yourself, who you truly are, and your life, in ways you may never have realized were accessible to you. With this one small practice.

What’s in it for you?Surprising insights, a realization or reminder that there’s a whole lot more below the surface than you might be paying attention to, a feeling of being supported, a growing desire to tend to yourself, a pause from the busyness of everyday life to give yourself a moment of greater awareness, a new self care practice, an opportunity to shake things up a little.

A writing prompt in itself is an opportunity to look at something from a new angle or a new lense, a new way of seeing. The prompt acts as the springboard, it gets stuff moving, It brings up something new. This is why I consider this type of journal writing self care. Pairing prompts with strategic methods to help you more easily access your writing is what makes this opportunity so beneficial.

With self awareness comes the ability to heal and transform YOUR OWN LIFE. Shining a light onto what you believe about yourself and your life, often very buried beliefs, allows you to move forward with far greater intentionality and awareness, to be able to honor your experience of life.
These Sneak Peeks provide tiny glimpses within,
tiny glimpses beyond the veil, beyond the usual,
tiny glimpses into:
what you really think
what you really want
how you really feel
who you really are
and provide the opportunity to choose for YOURSELF now
who and how you want to be.

The world doesn’t get to choose that,
your past doesn’t get to choose that.
the people in your life don’t get to choose that.
When you know yourself,
YOU get to choose that.

There is freedom in this kind of clarity. Allow your Sneak Peeks writing practice to provide a few tiny glimpses within, which has the power to expand into a whole new way for you, for a more aware, more intentional, more content experience of life. ♡
